Four days and counting . . .

Lots of good-byes this week . . . yesterday I said good-bye to Caitlin, Logen, and Shirley over Mallard’s raspberry chocolate chunk and chocolate chai spice ice cream.  I’m convinced that good-byes are easier when accompanied with good ice cream.  Later today I’ll say good-bye to my trusty 1992 Toyota Camry.  Maybe I should indulge in more ice cream to ease the pinch as the Camry drives away.  And so, this week of good-byes continues.  It’s bittersweet — and surprisingly exhausting.  I think I’ll join Katten . . . she has the right idea!

  1. Aw! I feel so loved! It’s so hard to leave cars behind–they often feel like our last link to a place. 🙁

I’m so excited for you (and this blog!) and can’t wait to hear about your adventures. Though no adventures are quite complete without a kitty by your side.

  2. Now I can see why you say a queen bed isn’t big enough for both you and Fred AND the kitty! That’s a great picture of Katten!

I agree though, about ice cream lightening the sadness of goodbyes. I almost went back today to get some of that raspberry you let me try–TRULY good ice cream!
